My apologies,
I’ve been away
writing this book
I promised myself.
A New Years Resolution
the first draft is done
I’m currently editing
the second time around
was much harder
than I ever imagined.
My 33 chapters
who would have imagined
I’d have 350 pages
one hell of a story
a lifetime of observing.
I hope you’ll promise
to read every word.
Maybe then you’ll understand
why I am this poet.
I’m lucky
to have you
reading my words.
I swear and promise
it’ll go to the editors soon.
