There are times

when the words 

get all stuck and trapped

on the inside

when the throat closes

you can’t get it out. 

There are circles

keeping us from going forward

true loving though

keeps us from forgetting. 

We can escape on Sunny vacations

where tan-lines went missing

topless in the sunshine

the golden warmth

there on your waist and bottom

reading and filling your mind

you’re my one-of-kind. 

These early morning hours

long before the jealous sun

makes it impossible

to lay out naked

without getting burned. 

Go ahead and enjoy those drinks

it’s still really early

when the sun is at high noon

we’ll slip on in

behind sheer curtains

you and your tanned 

pretty curves

here on vacation.
