The temple verse

resting on my shoulders

I’ve been right here

all along by your side

someone who very kindly

stood by your breakdown.  

If today truly counted

we’d have a different conversation,

yet, here I am

ready to lend a hand

there’s no real need

to look through the want ads. 

Despite all the rumors

you must have certainly heard

there’s still some time left

day or night 

it makes no difference

because you’re my one

I’m prepped and ready

to do your heavy lifting.
