That Kiss

A playful event
the excitement in
getting all dressed up.
Her outfit was picked
weeks in advance
she wanted to follow a theme.
The attention wave
smothered every inch
no detail was left to chance.
The girl had a part to play
for these eyes anyway
it was important
she was celebrated.
Stepping in that room
I have to convey
every head turned
the questions came
who’s the girl
wearing the collar.
The chain reaction
wanting to get closer
a second of apprehension
melted as the compliments
helped her settle.
Eyes in their position
she was free to explore
like an expert
she quickly read the room.
Inched up close
she whispers,
“Who’s that one
the tall one over there.”
The nod exchanged,
go over and talk to Him,
ever curious,
a delicate drink in hand
I love watching her
navigate a stranger
especially this one
so out of her league.
The conversation over
she’s moved on
edging ever closer
she asks
‘Why didn’t tell me?”
I tip her chin
eyes locked up into eyes
I say to her
“Because not all things
are what they seem.”
she did that smile
that one that melts.
I go and thank him
he does his trained reply
“Anything for You Sir.”
I kiss him.
When I get back to her
her first words are
“Permission”
she pauses,
“To speak freely Sir?”
I do not answer
just stare.
The girl shifts
watching my gaze in a mirror
she knows the rules.
I take her to floor
we dance super slowly
I give her the permission
to freely speak her words.
she clears her throat,
“You kissed him.”
I softly spin her
“Yes, I did.”
Clever as usual
she circles around Me,
“Sir, are You always
so generous to kiss a man?”
Now full in My grasp
“He, was a she
when we first met.”
she laughs
I can feel her nails
rake my back.
