her dark mood
lightens so
I dare you
love
to take one step closer. 
Wrists clutched and held
you were warned
every impulse
you’ll learn 
exactly how and when
you’re to behave
that is of course
you prefer to play. 
Light hearted and easy
these words 
have two meanings
ask yourself 
how committed are you to 
a lifestyle of pleasure
that comes long after
you’ve expressed yourself. 
Taught in a way
where you didn’t mind
putting the work in
a set of lessons
that’ll help 
show the gift in you. 
The give and take
abrupt and all at once
the weight of wanting
to please
can be frenzied. 
Today W/we start

the new way

how to be
all settled. 
That pretty calm-side
when you get all 
focused and exact
this new language
will give a set of keys
that’ll enable you

a new corridor 
or path
where I get to watch
